Alert - PRIMGHAR, Iowa -- The O'Brien County sheriff's office is looking for the owner of two unusual four-legged creatures found wandering on a golf course in Primghar. Two hinnies, a cross between a stallion and a female donkey, were found about two weeks ago.
Deputy Dean Fjeld said officials corralled the pair and took them a city pasture. So far, no one has claimed them.
Fjeld said if the owners don't show up, there's a chance the animals could be auctioned.
Fjeld said it's possible the animals were abandoned because of tough financial times.

Molly is a very well broke for anyone trail mule. She is the extra babysitter mule around here. She is a 20 yr. old 14 H. Appaloosa mule and still going very strong and keeps up (actually will out walk and pass up) the younger equines. She isn't gaited but her conformation is put together just right that she is a very smooth walk out mule. She's the type of mule most of us love, when you hit the trail she has a purpose and will walk out very nicely. She had never offered to buck, kick or bite. Is great for clipping/bathing, farrier and vet work. She is just a great safe and sound mule. The ONLY reason we are selling her is cause we just have too many to feed and she is just an extra that doesn't get ridden as much as she should cause she is just too good of a mule to sit out there and not be used. We are asking $600.00 obo for her. If you are in the market for a babysitter for the kids or just ready for a safe/sound mule to hit the trail yourself with don't pass her up.
